Why didn't they just make the jump to haswell. Better performance, better energy efficiency. I don't get it. Did I miss something??

Zotac has always been behind the curve of CPUs. I mean their awesome blue ray players have a freaking intel Atom long after Ivy Bridge came out and they could swap to maybe an i3 or AMD Trinity APU (instead of the c-60 and other low low end crappy APUs from the AMD side of things). I'm glad they they're starting to update their boxes, but they need to be a little quicker.

Nope. Less power means less cooling demand which works better for the smaller form factor. Plus Better Integrated graphics would give this even more potential uses.

This is like announcing your new motor uses a carburetor these days.

It's fast enough and it's not a laptop needing to have better battery life.
