Win8 and Bing is the deal killer for me. I will have nothing to do with Win8 and especially Bing.

Seriously, you can get rid of all of the crappyness of windows 8.1 with bing within like 5 minutes of first bootup. And in return you get a much faster much more efficient OS that was completely free. I will never understand the Win 8/8.1 hatemongering.

Zotac should throw in a free toaster some MacDonald gift cards and perhaps some passes to Disneyland to really spruce up the deal. Win 8.1 is not a great selling point.

You have obviously never used it then. Apparently the Start Screen scares you people. "What is this!" "Where are my Windows 7 CD's, learning is too difficult!"

Then uh, don't buy it?

It is when the cost of the license is free for the OEM. That takes like 100 bucks off the final price. Plus windows 8.1 is waaay better than windows 7 ever was anyways.

That it is but these people who have never used it apparently enjoy looking for driver CD's and online drivers from the manufacturer every time they do a system build or want to use a new USB device. With Windows 8.1 I don't look for drivers because I do not have to, and it syncs across my windows 8.1 tablet and PC, because some people actually like productivity. Obviously the Vista crowd and its not so retarded cousin Windows 7 don't have things to do but bash an OS they have never used.

Because they think an interface which is used 0.0001% of the time that only screws up their operations if they're primarily mouse driven (seriously, I feel like nobody's used the Start Menu search which basically obsoletes the Start Menu or at least makes it a tertiary place to go for apps) is enough to say the entire OS suck.

Remember, people were uncertain about the Start Menu when Windows 95 was released!

If you know what you're doing, you'll never have to see the metro UI. StartIsBack + charms bar killer = no modern UI. I have this set up on all of my computers and I forget I'm using windows 8. It just seems like a much faster and much more efficient Windows 7.
