Zotac Upgrades Zbox AD06 with a Faster APU

Paul Lilly

Zotac's bread and butter is its line of Zbox mini PCs, one of which just got a little bit faster today. The Zbox AD06 gets a performance boost thanks to the addition of AMD's E2-1800 APU (Accelerated Processing Unit), which features integrated Radeon HD 7340 graphics. According to Zotac , the net result is 10 percent faster performance compared to the previous generation Zbox.

Also new to this latest revision are four high-amperage USB 2.0 ports to quickly charge mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Two of these ports are on the rear, along with one on top and one at the front. In addition, the Zbox AD06 is equipped with two SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports in the back.

Other features include a single 2.5-inch drive bay, HDMI and DVI ports, 6-in-1 memory card reader, GbE LAN, and onboard audio. The Zbox AD06 Plus adds 2GB of DDR3 memory and a 320GB hard drive (5400 RPM) to the mix.
