If I was a smart computer A.I., I would hide in the bezel lines, then no one could shoot me

The only problem I have with those setups is:

In the cross-hatch setup, there is a lot of wasted monitor space. I'm sure those things aren't cheap.

In the other setup, the gaps would drive me crazy.

[I am reminded of Crysis 2 for the PlayStation 3. The first Trophy/Achievement you get was called "Can it Play Crysis?" I cannot, for the life of me, think of anything more insulting to PC gaming than that. It takes a lot of balls to keep that as an achievement on the console versions. Anyway, I often think back to that, when people mention the long-running gag]

But what about Metro Last Light? ;)

Reminds me of the Deus Ex Human Revolution intro video.

If monitor companies would focus on affordable, non-TN 4K monitors that run @ at least 60 Hz over non-hackneyed connections (ie:no more dual HDMI and split panels) I would appreciate it.

1080 monitors are like the Xbox 360: they were outdated years ago, they're ancient tech today and they're still holding us back.

I had a look into this some more, and apparently I found the real reason why such hacks are needed. The image scaling chips in production aren't fast enough to handle 4K @ 60Hz. And while you could easily just say "why not make a chip to handle it and use a single chip solution?" Probably because these display manufacturers have a ton of chips that already work, and rather than wait for a single chip solution, they can get something out to the market right away.

In any case, there's still also the major issue that few people in the grand scheme of things care about 4K monitors.

I would rather use a HD Wall Projector than to deal with all those Bezel lines running across the picture. Or if you are rolling in cash, just buy a 150inch HDTV. No Bezels messing up your movies!!!! Also, Any Screen can display Crysis. The REAL question is.... Can it RUN Crysis?

Pretty clever how they aligned the monitors at an angle like that.

Gawd, the graphics processing needs for this...

This isn't Crysis running on what would probably be like some high resolution. It's a 1080p stream that's broken up to fit on those panels.
