I would like to see a bitcoin tally display on the MAXIMUM PC site that allows us to see if the rig can really pay for itself in 4 months or not. I am a skeptic and would like to be proven wrong. Come on Gordon, what do you think? Why wait five months for the article?

Anybody know the the reliability/quality and support Xidax offers compared to, say, Falcon, Digital Storm, Puget, Origin etc?

I think they're still too new to tell for sure.

When you have asshole's like me posting, aren't you glad you can still buy a hitman with bitcoins?

.....but they don't take American Express!

It's a good move, I think. If they were to instantly cash out on the percentage of recieved BTC that went into actually creating the PC and keep the percentage in profit, they could easily leverage the growth of value of Bitcoin and still be safe from risks.

They would need to be a ble to short the currency in order to leverage that way.

They dont sell futures or options in bitcoin that im aware of.

"They would need to be a ble to short the currency in order to leverage that way."

Uh, you don't need to short bitcoins if you just want to sell some of those that you have received in payment.

depends how they structure the transaction.

if they charge you based on the current exchange rate, right at the time of sale, and quickly convert the coins to fiat currency, then yes. They would need to have some kind of realtime exchange rate pricing as the exchange rate is super voltile right now.

If not, then they will need to leverage the currency to protect themselves from the downside. Hense my comment about leveraging futures or options.

All speculation at this point, we will have to wait and see how they handle it.
