You can go back to playing Skyrim on your PC, or Battlefield 3 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 or Batman: Arkham City, or whatever you're rocking on your home brewed system There's nothing new to see on the Xbox 360, not yet anyway, because the big dashboard update that was supposed to be rolled out this morning hit a snag and is being delayed.

"FYI: The timing for the Xbox 360 dashboard update has been slightly delayed. I'll have a status update later today," Microsoft's Larry Hryb announced via Twitter .

That tweet came three hours ago, shortly before the dashboard update was to go live at 10AM EST this morning. As of just moments ago, Larry Hyrb issued another statement saying, "We are working to get the release out. Stay tuned, we'll have an update this afternoon (PT) on when it will begin rolling out."

The much anticipated update is supposed to usher in a new era of voice control search on the Xbox 360, along with " an all-new Xbox 360 experience " with apps from content providers intended to make the 360 console a true living room entertainment device.
