So on July 3 @ 1:43 pm, you post an article about a contest that began on June 24 @ 12:00 pm and ends July 3 @ 6:00 pm?

WHAT THE HECK!!

avatar

Hey.That_Dude

This has been posted several times on the front page. I first saw it on the 28th of June. I'm sorry that you didn't see it before then.

My Bad!

That's what happens when you get old - you miss stuff! Ah well, ya snooze, ya lose.

Why can't people from Arizona enter?

avatar

tke671

most likely it is because arizona prohibits gambling and they define gambling as (1) an act of risking or giving something of value, (2) for the opportunity to obtain a benefit, and (3) from a game or contest of chance or skill or a future contingent event. By that description, the giveaway falls under the category of gambling and rather than go through the legal hoops necessary to allow citizens of that state to participate, its just easier to leave them out.

I am building my first computer and winning a ssd would be so nice and save me a lot of money. I may be 14 but I love working on computers and using them for more than just playing games. Making videos, animations, pictures, and 3D renderings are fun. I like watching the drive defragger screen while it works. So glad I entered. Good luck to all.

:( sadly im pretty sure the rules state 18 and up.

Remember - defragging your SSD drives can lead to shorter lifespan, due to the multiple write operations that a defrag process performs.

Not only that, it's useless. I think he was using the defrag screen as more of an example of his nerd-cred though.

When I first purchased System Mechanic, I trusted it because it was endorsed by one of the Windows Secrets writers.

At first, I noticed that it was quite intrusive, and so I began turning off its worst features, one by one.

Finally, I realized that on both my desktop and (plain vanilla) ultrabook, even after most of the features were disabled, it was still causing serious problems.

I strongly encourage everyone to stay away from System Mechanic.

No way.

I entered. Good Luck Tech Heads!

Upyourbucket

Good luck to everyone who entered.

Entered, but I seriously doubt I'll win. I never win anything except scratch offs, and that's rare as it is, LOL! It would be nice to be proven wrong and actually win something for a change though!

It says along with your zip/postal code, but in the rules it says that it will be mailed to the address given in your entry...

mrcapncaveman

done.

avatar

Under How To Enter, you say: " Along with the answer, email us your complete name, age, zip/postal code, and the answer to the question"
Does this mean we need to put the answer in twice, before and after our personal info?

avatar

The Mac

not sure if serious...

avatar

(MPC ad ate my original reply) I've been burned before because of small discrepancies in instructions, I'd like to avoid that in the future!

avatar

The Mac

gotcha.

seems a little obvious though, thats really what i was commenting on...

Fixed that typo, having your answer once is great and it's not an issue if you have your answere before or after your information.

Good luck!
