ViewSonic appears ready to move all-in with LED backlights, announcing that "LED technology will feature in all of ViewSonic's mointors moving forward." Kicking off ViewSonic's commitment to LED displays, the company's European operations just launched a pair of new monitors aimed at two very different target audiences, including ViewSonic's flagship VX2753mh-LED, and VA2448-LED for school kids and business users.
The VX2753mh-LED is a 27-inch ultra-thin widescreen Full HD 1080p display with a 30,000,000:1 mega dynamic contrast ratio (1,000:1 typical). ViewSonic claims it delivers 40 percent energy savings compared to a regular 27-inch monitor, while further kissing up to Mother Nature with a verified mercury-free RoHS production process and eco-mode option. Other specs include 300 cd/m2 brightness, 5ms response time (2ms GTG), and built-in 2.5W speakers.
For a little less skrilla, the VA2448-LED boasts a 24-inch panel also with a Full HD 1080p resolution. Specs include 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio (1,000:1), 5ms response time, 300 cd/m2 brightness, and several energy certifications, including EPEAT Silver, Energy Star 5.0, and TCO 5.1.
Both monitors are available now with SRRP of £255 (around $415) inc Vat VX2753mh-LED and £130 (around $211) inc VAT VA2448-LED.
