British handset maker Vertu has teamed up with Ferrari for the second time to release a luxury phone inspired by the sports car.
"Right from the beginning, the Vertu Ascent was inspired by cars. I wanted Ascent to be influenced by power, by energy, by the precision of a beautiful engine," said Frank Nuovo, Vertu Principal Designer.
The Vertu Ascent Ferrari GT is made from forged titanium with a matte black PVD finish and sports a small 2-inch QVGA display with 16 million colors. Other features include a 5MP camera with LED flash, video recording, integrated Web browser with accelerometer, 32GB of internal memory, GPS, and up to 4.8 hours of talk time (GSM).
No word yet on price or availability, though Vertu did say it would limit the run to 2,011 devices.
