Doom to Dunia: A Visual History of 3D Game Engines

It may be made from scratch, but apparantly the mechanics are very much like Gears of War, so that may be something to think about.

Well, you're just doing your job, and who knows? I may have downloaded one of these in the hypothetical future and just ended up angry with myself for it. Thanks for making the future a less stressful place! ^___^

Freeware Files: Five Windows Package Managers Reviewed!

So the whole article is basically there to point out the fact that there isn't one that even remotely fulfills all the requirements of a GOOD Package Manager? That sucks. I was actually hoping there would be something easy to use and somewhat reliable in here. <_<

Rumor: Intel Delays i5 Platform to September

Posted 05/26/2009 at 10:59:44am

i7 runs on socket 1366, and will be for the performance seeking crowd and gamers. 1066 will be cheaper and for more casual use, will have the PCE-E controller and other 'bridge parts on the chip, and will overall be more mainstream. Thus, they named such a chip the Core i5 to differentiate between the different sets.

Google Forced to Retake All Japanese Street View Pictures

Posted 05/18/2009 at 07:59:55pm

So you think the concept of privacy to them would encompass their whole country or something? I'm not getting your logic. Once again, that stuff was happening in public. Though, I guess you wouldn't want that to be shared, but if it really came down to it, google could just blur people's faces beyond recognition.

That's my opinion, anyway. Japan rules, and I'm not trying to be rude. That kind of stuff probably happens in the US at least as much, Google's just not always around to see it.

If it was a matter of privacy, that'd be undertstandable, but seriously? All that stuff was happening in plain view anyway. They need to get over this kind of stuff....especially considering the kind of entertainment they've passed on to the rest of the world. XD / O___O

How-To: Install Windows 7 RC as a Dual Boot, Over Vista, or From Scratch

Posted 05/11/2009 at 03:48:19pm

I'm wary of installing this. I had trouble with the RC. I have 2 150GB velociraptors in a RAID 0 with a 500GB Caviar for backups. I tried installing the Beta on the caviar, but then it didn't recognize my vista partition. Any idea of how to help this?
