Woman Declared "Not Depressed," Loses Benefits over Facebook Photo

Posted 11/20/2009 at 11:37:36pm

Insurance companies like everyone else are out to save a buck.  Why?  They make money that way.  An insurance company will do everything in its power to find something wrong with a claim.  People who I know that work in the industry doing investigations are told exactly that.  Find something.  That is there job and they are rated on there performance.  Whether its legitimate, insurance companies don't care. If it can get you off there payroll they will use it to revoke your claim.

Obviously there is more to this story as a picture partying does not constitute a biblical miracle cure of depression.  And for all of you who think its the boo hoo's remember that next time your in a plane, train or bus, when a low hits and the person noses said vehicle into something solid. Oh the best thing is they might not know there depressed.

Pirate Bay Lawyer Requests Retrial

If the judge does not believe that was a conflict of interest then he should agree its just no ethical.

Thats almost like the family of a murder victim being the jury because "we didn't like the guy who got murder and weren't that close to him even though he was family."  Still a conflict of interest or at least unethical.

Why You Shouldn’t Give up on OnLive Just Yet

If it isn't smoke and mirrors as was said in the article then this is could be a great idea.  Now performance has yet to be measured.  The major issue I see with it, is you can't control your back bone to the internet.  So depending on where you are or your ISP, the service will be a flop or a hit.  Also depends if they keep a decent server/client ratio.

GPS Nearly Takes Another Life

Posted 03/26/2009 at 10:26:24pm

I have had a few run ins with my GPS telling me something that was incorrect, like drive through an intersection with a concrete barrier on the other side.

I always said use a GPS like your wife reading a map.  It might be in the general area, but your still better off looking to see exactly where your going.

Texas Judge Demands Identities of Online Flamers

Posted 02/12/2009 at 11:48:58am

I think this couple went a little to far.  I mean its one site, are they going to go after every site that has a discussion about them.

However on a side note, if someone is posting defamatory (sp?) comments or saying something in a public space that is not true to destroy ones image then you should be legally responsible.

Remember if your going to flame someone be constructive and smart about it.

They will probably find most of the comments were made by 14-17 yr olds.

3DMark Drama: Intel Employee Claims AMD Never Held The Top Score

Posted 02/01/2009 at 10:39:29pm

The only thing I can think that Intel is whining about is they were not WHQL certified or some other certification.  Drivers are drivers.  Obviously whether the drivers were beta, Alpha, or the nerd's code next door.  It worked and AMD got their results.

Its similar to whining about how your ferrari got beat by some garage heads souped up Chevette because its not street legal or stock.  Its irrelevant you got beat.

Now Intel quit your Griping, increase your clock speed, lower your prices by like 50% for your top line processors and you will get some more support from the public.
