Winner of Ion Case Mod Contest is Glowing Green Cube
Posted 11/17/2009 at 03:56:31pm
I always loved the Mod of the Month, but knew there were just never enough modders out there to get a new one every month. Maybe it could be an annual article and include the top 5 mod's of the year with better then $500 prize. I always laughed hearing these guys pour thousands into a case mod, let alone the hundreds of hours carving a bamboo case LOL, all for enough to pay for the gas to the home depot.

I've stopped using Firefox since switching to Windows 7. The new thumbnail preview of your tabs is really awesome, and works in every other browser besides firefox. I really miss some of the simple features of Firefox, and can't wait until they finally add support for the Win 7 Thumbnail previews of tabs. Anyone know of when that might be available?

Freeware Files: Five Instant Messaging Apps (that are better than AIM)

I've been using trillain for years, and now they just converted to this Astra. I love the new interface. After using the 30day trial, I am going to miss the paid for history view that is so neat compared to the free version's history.txt file that's used instead. Other then that trillian rocks for using my 3 different IM's in one client. I might try digsby soon now after switching to a new comp next time. Thanks for the tips.

I've been trying it in Virtual PC 2007 for a few days now, and just can't get the internet to work on it at all. Does anyone have any suggestions?
It's funny how it always starts off by saying plug the phone in cause you have left then 15 minutes battery life, hehe.

XP mode doesn't work in virtual windows 7. I haven't wanted to install the beta on a computer and have been testing in virtual pc, but xp mode won't work. Virtual PC won't work within a Virtual PC, aww man that sucks.
Study: 60% of Companies Plan to Skip Windows 7

I agree, 40% adoption rate is huge. This is also a silly title to the article, what are they skipping too? Nothing else is planned. They just aren't immediately adopting the new OS, but as soon as their specific applications are compatible, they probably will. Which probably means they still aren't using Vista either, and are actually waiting to skip too Windows 7. The same problems I still have with Vista are the same problems i'm having with Windows 7. I can't wait to start updating my office computers from XP to Win 7. Skip Vista once Win 7 is ready.
