MPC PSA: Your iPhone Isn't Actually Deleting the Emails You Tell it To

People keep calling it a security issue. Technically it's not a security issue, it's only a privacy issue.
If it were a security issue, it would more likely have to be an actual security flaw in the code that would allow someone on the outside to do something you dont want to your machine. Well, the only way someone can do something remotely like that for this "privacy" issue, is if they 1) physically had your iphone/touch, 2) knew your passcode, and 3) wanted to read your e-mails (if they knew about this)
Considering the necessities for pulling this off, this is a VERY small and unalarming "privacy" issue. If it ever gets fixed in some future patch version for the iphone/touch I wont lose any sleep over it.

I don't know about those "Heavy users", but I don't run Gigabtyes upon countless Gigabytes on bittorrent's; so this might only affect those who deserve a slap in the face to get back to reality. 5GB/month seems pretty unreasonable, i'd be fine with 20GB; only extreme people who download many seasons of TV shows at once or otherwise would ever cap themselves and not the majority of the internet users. online gaming enthusiasts or otherwise. I think it's good to get the "Biggie Smalls" of the internet in-line for the benefit of the rest of us..

Next up: fundamentalists blame terrorism on video games- They'd be dumb enough to do it too- if they haven't already tried that strategy before with (cue the Maude Flanders voice) "the children!"

There are a lot of mac-tards correlating with a PC (emphasis on real PC) magazine and website, when they should not, please post this someplace else where it would be more (gladly) received for god's sake, not here where we would rather want you away.. NO, we do NOT want to hear your latest news on your cult obsession; YES, we WANT you to stop posting mac related things on a (PC) website. Enough said.

wow, it seems you couldn't restrain yourselves yet again, and went past personal, into even a vendetta. lol I'm big enough to admit I expected a bit too much from you guys, and that that was a mistake. But the way you've dealt with this was pretty infantile; like two immature bloggers with brains - and a lot of suppressed hostility. will you also gang up on the next person who criticizes you? it shows what kind of people you are. grow up; i'm big enough to admit this too, I was wrong. You're just bloggers
