Me thinks Assassin's Creed was my last game purchased from Unisoft.... I am not impressed by their antics as of late and they will have none of my business.
Nexus One Sales Much Lower than Expected
Posted 03/18/2010 at 02:36:24pm
Guess that didn't work out. Maybe they should rethink their sales tactics. Nexus One is a dud for $500. Swallow the loss and time to rethink its successor.

IBM Pushes for Patent Reform

"We agree, we just didn't expect to hear it from IBM."
Interesting indeed.
They hold the most patents but maybe they do so becuase of worries about competitors doing the same and they're using the same tactics to fend them and patent trolls off. Gotta fight fire with fire in this particular patent system.
Energizer USB Battery Charger Could Compromise Your PC
Posted 03/09/2010 at 02:14:43pm
Bunny jokes aside, this is quite serious.
Had I bought one of these chargers, I wouldn't even thought of denying access as I would think it's part of the program - cuz hey, why would Energizer tries to install malware on my machine. Guess I was wrong - they need to take a seriously look at their HR department of software contractors.
Someone has to pay for this serious negligence.
Ubisoft’s Uncrackable DRM Lasted a Mere 24 Hours
Posted 03/08/2010 at 02:15:54pm
Adding to the nubmerous comments on DRM, I have to say, I hate them as well.
I purchase all my games these days (too many in fact) - and mostly off of Steam. I fit the dreaded male, 26-35 category who don't watch a lot of TV and I spend a good $1300/year on games/PC Hardware. Here's my take on DRM issues.
I find that most DRM annoying but if they don't interfere with my daily use and the occasional reformat, I'm okay with it. However, the AC2 DRM seems pretty annoying, as such, I'll follow the corwd and not be bothered with it (AC1 was an excellent game btw). The hassles I experienced with Spore left a bitter taste. I hope games publishers read these comments from their customer.
