Analyst: Prepare to Pay More (A Lot More) for Xbox Live
Posted 10/19/2009 at 02:40:37pm
Since the 360 is practically useless without the gold subscription, I pay the gold member fee. $50 a year is a reasonable price, but I am not willing to pay twice that amount. If they doubled the price, I will end my subscription, sell all my 360 hardware and software, and use that money to transfer to the PS3. The PS3 online is not as good as xbox live but it's good enough for me and it's free. Of course I also have my pc that I can use to play games online but if I were scrictly a console gamer, that's what I would do.
Samsung Introduces OLED Prototype to the Business Side of a Hammer

The LCD screen that got smashed looks like it came from a DS fat. I have replaced a broken DS and DS lite screen before and both of those screens broke because of huge cracks. Flexible OLEDs can open up a lot of new ideas for gadgets. I wouldn't be surprised to see the next ds have dual OLED screens with touch capicitors and resistive technology so that the touchscreens can work with fingers and a stylus.
Finland Becomes First Country to Guarantee Broadband Access as a Legal Right

Free internet is not really free. Someone is paying for it, who is it? It's the government and they will only be able to pay for it by increasing our taxes. Also, when everyone is given free internet, there won't be enough bandwidth to handle the demand, since the internet is monopolized by the government, they don't have any incentive to improve the bandwidth, they will solve their problem by limiting everyones bandwidth to painfully slow speeds. That is not the change we need.
I don't want the government controlling my life, let capitalism make everything right and let there be competition.
Might I also add that it would be a lot cheaper for you to pay for your own personal internet than paying higher taxes for government internet.
We can all afford our own needs without being dependent on the government. Yes We Can.

Yes, electricity, food, gas, and internet are things that you and I need but those are still responsibilities. Just because you need something doesn't make it a right. If all those things were rights or socialized, then your tax $$$ would not only pay for your service, it will pay for everyone around you. The quality of these services will become equal for everyone and they will do that by downgrading those who have good service to those who have bad service.
I don't know about you but I don't want to pay for other people's services. I work and I just want to pay for my personal needs. I don't want the government taking my money and giving it to those who don't work.

There are ways to get food if you have no money, charities, organizations, etc. but do want to be forced to pay for someone elses food who didn't work. We can be generous and donate funds to them but do you want to be forced to do so?
Sure, Your Work PC Can Run Windows 7, But is it Really Worth the Upgrade?
Posted 10/16/2009 at 01:56:45pm
I have that gateway laptop in the picture and it's running windows 7 beta right now.
I hate that laptop though, the mouse buttons have snapped, the battery lasts less than an hour while web browsing, the touchpad is flacky, and the right angle power cord torques the jack and it needed to be sent back 3 times because of this.
I need a new laptop, I won't spend any money in my current hardware because new hardware will come with the software upgrade.

Please don't make it a right in america to. I don't mean to start a political flame war but should internet really be a right? You don't need internet to live and just like healthcare, if it's that important to you then pay for it yourself. Don't ask your hard working, tax paying neighbors to pay for your internet. Just cut back on your other spendings and pony-up the cash yourself to pay for these things. Internet, healthcare, oil, food, and electricity are all responsibilities. If you can't afford it, then sell stuff, cut back on your cable TV, cut back on your spending, I don't care how you pay for the things you want but don't force me or your neighbors who work to pay for your stuff.
Tegra Will Power the Next Nintendo DS
Posted 10/14/2009 at 04:15:54pm
I just bought a DSi a few months ago and they are already comming out with a new one? I new I shouldn't have been an early adopter for this.
I have a zune hd and I think that the tegra will surely add alot of graphics power to the ds. Hopefully there will be a way for me to transfer my dsi ware to the newer ds.

Don't worry, I wont be cheap and buy it for a penny, I'll be reasonable and pay $10 because that was the price I had been waiting for.
