The Freeware Files: Five Reader-Recommended Games for the Taking!
Posted 08/20/2009 at 05:31:37pm
I've tried Assualt Cube, and for a free 40mb game, it's pretty good. Battlefield Heroes on the other hand is not as great as I expected. It's supposed to be a 3rd/1st person game if I'm not mistaken. I couldn't get into 1st person mode. The game is very goofy and almost overly silly. You have to pay to get those crazy outfits, the health is unrealistic, and I just didn't really enjoy the game. I have tried Cube, but nobody plays that and I coulnd find anyone online. Someone mentioned Frets on Fire. Frets on Fire is great for a free game. Sure it isn't zombie shooting, but it's a great way to waste time.
Overall nice list. Thanks Murph =]
