College Student Hauled Off for Hacking Game Consoles

Posted 08/05/2009 at 03:17:00pm

Gotta love a country that is more worried that someone illegally copied a game rather than catch and stop terrorists. God bless the Corporation of the United States.

Facebook and Intel want You to Donate Your Spare Cycles

Posted 08/04/2009 at 02:23:33pm

Why doesn't Intel just donate a few "super computers" dedicated for this reason. They expect me to put wear and tear on my rig, use my electricity, and slow my computer down for when they could donate some sort of computer for a big tax right off? How will this research lower my medical bills? These big corporations soak the consumer for every penny they can get out of them and they expect us to just hand over our computers?

I'm sorry.. this may be a good cause, but chalk this up to a big "FAIL"

Pirate Bay Defendants Denied a Retrial

Posted 06/26/2009 at 03:08:35pm

Just like gun makers are there to facilitate murders, screwdriver makers to facilitate car theft, computers facilitate identity theft, and money facilitates bank robbery...

Its not Pirate Bay's fault..blame the uploaders and downloaders. If every torrent was legal, would Pirate Bay still be at fault? Also the RIAA and MPAA are just pissed because Pirate Bay won't succumb to their nazi-like tactics and police their own site.

[Not So] Crazy - Redmond to Protect Pirated and Legit Window 7 Copies

Posted 04/30/2009 at 05:41:12pm

They could have made all their software pirate proof years ago. You morons really think they are that dumb? Piracy was the best business model for Microsoft. Get everyone hooked on the OS then make money selling the other software. Use a little logic..if piracy has or had actually hurt Microsoft..we all would be using Linux.

Time Warner's Puny Bandwidth Caps Break out of Texas

Posted 04/05/2009 at 03:22:40am

The internet is like crack and Time Warner knows they have its customers by the balls especially in areas like mine with no other competition.

If you want to bring Time Warner to its knees you better be prepared to kick the habit for a while and stand up and be counted as one of its many pissed off customers. A good start is find out the addresses for advertisers for some of the bigger websites. Write them emails saying you'd love to see there ads and possibly buy their newest product but unfortunately you cant because of bandwidth restrictions. Play companies against each other.

Also, start cancelling Time Warner services you can live without. Quit buying Pay-Per-View movies, downgrade to basic cable, etc. Write emails to the CEO of Time Warner of your intentions and see it though.

You have to hit them where it hurts..their cashflow. If you dont stand up and be counted as a very pissed off Time Warner customer, don't come to forums whining and crying that your having to pay for your bandwidth overages.

IE8 Gains Minimal Market Share After Official Launch

Posted 03/23/2009 at 11:28:07am

IE8 is not any better than any other version of IE. When Microsoft gets out of the "surf the web OUR way" atittude and adopts the "surf YOUR way" atittude, then maybe IE will be a relevant browser again.
