Google Exec: Desktops Will be Obsolete in 3 Years
Posted 03/04/2010 at 04:43:49pm
Modern laptops can be pretty powerful. But desktops have more power, plus a comfortable display/keyboard/mouse. There's no way in hell consumers are simply going to forego these benefits. And so deskops are here to stay.
Toshiba Improves Portege M700 Line with i7 Option, Multi-touch
Posted 02/23/2010 at 10:56:50pm
Once again, this isn't a gaming tablet. Sure, a Core i7 tablet can be very powerful, but it'll still fail in 3D applications, especially if Intel's doing the graphics. HP has a tablet with proper graphics but a crappy proc. Why can't we get a gaming tablet someday? When will Alienware be doing something like that? Sure, tablets are mostly for business customers, but there are STUDENTS who use them and students are often gamers.

I'm not getting an implant in my brain. Maybe I will one day, when the technology is mature, but I'm not gonna beta test this kinda thing.
Newspaper Tracks Down Anonymous Commenter, Gets Him Fired Just for Fun
Posted 11/18/2009 at 09:17:43pm
It's depressing to see that some people are actually sad enough to go such a great length to get people fired. And the board was supposed to be "anonymous"? This is ridiculous. The whole point in having an ANONYMOUS board is so that people don't get tracked down and screwed over. Sure, maybe the employee did go against regulations, but so did Kurt Greenbaum--by claiming the board was anonymous. He can't legally track people down when they're posting stuff anonymously.
Logitech G500

I got this mouse too and there really are 5 levels of sensitivity. It's an awesome mouse. When you increase the sensitivity after the top bar is filled, the bottom bar disappears. So at maximum sensitivity, there will be one bar at the top, while at the minimum, it's one bar at the bottom. Just so you guys know.
I think this warrants at least a 9-kickass... and it's a litte more than half the price of the G9x in Canada.
