Nvidia Halts Development of Nehalem Chipsets, Explains Why
Posted 10/09/2009 at 02:36:02pm
Nvidia's hording SLi to their chipsets was bad for the consumers. I don't see why people are bummed about this- they can now run either SLi or CrossFire on one chipset, and not be forced to go with a chipset with notoriously bad reliability and overclocking ability (yes, I know 790i was much better about this, but 790i boards were all more then $300) for SLi.

So will these come with a stock liquid-cooling loop? ;)
seems like you're going to end up paying quite a bit for a stock heatsink for these things, its going to have to be a beast.

I have the drive and I like it very much. as for the slowness ripping videos, that is the RIAA's fault- the thing is riplocked. sadly, I've found no firmware hacks to remove the riplock from it. other than that, its really fast.
The Freeware Files: Five Reader-Recommended Games for the Taking!

meh, tried both and I enjoyed Cross Fire much more, I ditched combat arms but still play Cross Fire- I don't like how everything is time-limited in combat arms. I also just didn't like the overdone environment of combat arms, everything explodes and distorts your view, its hard to see anyone and kill them- I prefer the old-school FPS gameplay of Cross Fire.

I can't believe that- that most certainly is a conflict of interest, and I agree with the person that said that in the US that judge would be and should be fired for not revealing his affiliation. Even if he honestly tried not to be biased, subconscious bias still creeps in, and I don't see how you can not be overtly biased when you have such a huge stake in one side of the case.
A Brief History of CPUs: 31 Awesome Years of x86

ah, yes, I still remember tweaking those old PII machines.
however, I noticed two errors:
1. You said the 3.73Ghz Pentium D 965 was intel's highest clocked CPU, but there is a 3.8Ghz Pentium 4
2. You say that the highest clocked Core 2 chip is 3.2 Ghz, but the E8600 clocks in at 3.33Ghz stock.
Rumor: Asustek to Launch ODD-toting Netbook in April

my netbook is the N10J, with a dedicated GeForce 9300M GPU; its currently the only laptop I have, so I use it to play games when I'm away from the desktop. It plays COD4 with very playable framerates at the lowest widescreen res.
