The Hits Just Keep on Coming, More Verizon Map Commercials

Those commercials are hilarious!  Especially the misfit toys one.  I feel good knowing the extortionist prices they're charging me are going towards funny commercials.

They're picking on the iphone because it's synonymous with AT&T. Everyone knows that and that's their strategy.

What other phone would you suggest they make fun of?  AT&T has no other popular phone.

Get a new backup program.  It's not MS's fault the software you use doesn't have an update....or does it.  I bet you didn't even check before you posted.

Instead, they try to appeal to people who dont even know what an Operating System is.

Yeah, that's the whole point.  They don't have to advertise to enthusiasts because they're already running Win 7 or have it on order.

AT&T’s Honeymoon with the iPhone to End?

Posted 10/24/2009 at 09:42:00am

The iphone is the ONLY thing they have going for them.   Their coverage is down right horrible.  If the iphone goes to verizon I'd expect them to lose over half their customers in the next two years as their contracts end.

AT&T’s Honeymoon with the iPhone to End?

Verizon is already overpriced.  If they get iphones I'd suspect their pricing will go up even further considering how mac nuts will pay anything steve jobs tells them to, and they can't just raise the rate for iphones.  Let's keep our fingers crossed that this doesn't happen.

Now you mac users get to watch Justin Long act like a douchebag IN your OS, you know, while you're busying not playing any games or getting any work done.

Release Notes: I Am Not, Nor Have I Ever Been, a Fanboy

You're a total closet mac fanboy.  There are more and more articles about macs in the pages of MaximumPC ever since you took over.  I'd appreciate it if you would stop trying to be trendy and instead focus the staff's energy on PC's.  You know, those things your magazine is named after...

The Pros and Cons of 64-bit Windows 7

Posted 10/19/2009 at 09:57:06pm

OK, so what you're saying is ancient printers that aren't supported anymore might not work, and Some 16-bit apps may break.  You may as well have mentioned that 5.25" floppy drives won't work either.

These points are self-defeating.  If someone is running an app from the mid-90's do you really think they're going to buy a brand new OS?  No.  And if someone has an old printer from 8+ years ago they're most likely in the same boat.

Stop the fear-mongering and let progress happen.  It's crap like this that made us swap 6 CD's to install Half-Life 2 because "no one had DVD ROM's" back then.
