Microsoft to Unveil DirectX 11 at XNA Gamefest

Here's a mind bender for you...
If my DirectX 9 operating system (XP) is so inferior to the Vista DirectX10 experience, how is it I can see the difference in the rendered DX9/DX10 videos out there on the web?
If the new cards and OS are so earth shattering, my DX9 system should not see any difference. It only goes to reason that if the DX9 system can SEE DX10 changes it could RUN DX10.
Nice try MS, but I'm not buying. And yes I understand video rendering etc, but I'm talking OS w/DX10 vs. OS wo/DX10. I'm certain if MS really wanted to, DX10 for XP would be possible.
