Posted 10/29/2009 at 04:10:40pm
From what i just read it seams that either 32 or 64 win 7 systems are just about equal. If ishould use win7/64 and didn't like it for what ever reason, could i switch back to the win7/ 32 version. I ask this because i am about to build my new computer with an amd phenom 2 x4 955 chip with 4gb patriot ram. Any advice as to which one to use would be helpful.

Microsoft's New Ad Campaign: Owning a Mac in a Recession is Totally Uncool
Posted 04/10/2009 at 04:19:51pm
first off let's get this striaght. you would have everyone believe that when you want to buy a new computer that you spend up to 2 grand when you only what to spend 500.00. Not happening , for sure in a mac world but not to the average pc guy. Also when you buy a new pc, you can use the net to find FREE software and cut your cost greatly. I guess that only mac guys would blow thier wadd on extras that they don't need.

The Beginner's Guide to Linux, Part 2: Installation
Posted 03/08/2009 at 08:19:11pm
This was a great read so far . I reaally like the quality information in this article.I especially like the advice about using more than hard drive for the install. I very much like not having to use a product key code or serial number or even having to accept an end user agreement. Because in the past i have really hated the problems i have had with wonky key codes after having reformated my hard drive and having to reinstall windows. I look forward to rest of the article , keep up the great work. I can say that i hav'nt seen the depth of user knowledge so far, in a PC magazine. thanks.
HP Drops Linux From Its U.K Netbook Lineup
Posted 02/08/2009 at 02:56:52pm
Well hp just showed what they are made of, not much when they cave in to microsoft. If hp would have stuck with Linux andreally promoted Linux, i think that microsoft would have to either improve their operating system or finnally admit that linux will eventually be a strong alternative to windows based operating systems. Remember that microsoft gave us Visata,( that really sucked and they finally admited that). This just proves that Linux is the next big operating system.

You make the wrt600n sound like a giant killer. Well i have had in the past linksys routers and in general they usually fail within a short period of time. I currently use a D link dir 655 gigabit extreme N router. Ihave had alot of trouble with it as of late. I wonder if you had to chose which router would you choose. Consider that your recomendation for the wrt600n was made last year, do still standby it or has it changed?.
