plaskon... it doesnt matter what you meant.

as in you're still annoying people by pointlessly posting "first post" (or equivalent) without anything in reference to the article in question or anyone elses comments.

putting "first post" (in l33t speak or not) doesn't mock those kinds of people in any way. they would just think someone else is just like them. you're just as bad as they are and i agree people should be banned for that (including what you did since theres no difference its still pointless and annoying). so you say play nice? i would actually ask that you play SMARTER.

Time Warner Working to Shut Down Local Providers of Affordable Broadband

umm spider-mom you're making a lot of ASSumptions on that. how do you know he hasn't voted in every single election since he was legally of age to do so? or that he is too young to be able to legally vote at all? Also voting only works to get what you think should be done if you agree with the majority that is voting. Even if i vote it doesn't mean that what I think should be done will be. so it is you that is ignorant and truly pathetic and ppl like you dont deserve internets. i actually really hope that this one was an isolated incident because otherwise based on that I would ask that you no longer use a name referncing one of my fav comic book characters. spider-man has higher standards ;)

it doesnt help when the only people we really have to vote for are being funded by these huge companies and so their loyalties lie with them most of the time and not with who voted for them. voting doesn't always work.

Build a Kick-Ass $500 Gaming PC, Play Crysis at 40FPS!

Posted 05/06/2009 at 10:09:16am

ok seriously guys stop dinging maxpc for not including an os, monitor, keyboard, etc. first off this probably isnt your first computer if your checking out the maxpc site so you probably already have a monitor keyboard etc that already works so this is a great guide if your problem is performance and all you really want is to upgrade your box. i realize that this makes it a bit of an issue for games (get an emulator) but if you need to factor in an os cost then just get linux. oh look now you can include an os and still be under budget.

secondly, to buy a legit windows license, monitor, keyboard, etc could cost up to like $500 easy. so wheres the rest of the budget for the guts of your computer? obviously you can't buy both for $500 and if you did buy everything for under $500 bucks I would be more worried about trying to type in ms word without it looking like a slideshow let alone playing crysis at 40fps. so at least be realistic about what they could actually build. who wants to read an article about building a pc that may include "all" the parts but the challenge is to actually boot vista or something instead of actually running a game well.

Thanks to MaxPC for the article.

Verizon Pshaws Cablevision's Blazing Fast Broadband

uh ya wtf. i want those kinds of speeds that would be awesome. does that mean you want us to come storm the castle? i mean he basically just said oh no one is hassling us so it must not be a problem. thats a dumb approach cuz there are people that want that so in effect he just asked them all to come "storm the castle".

FiOS would be nice..... i live in Canada so I have to deal with Rogers for my cable. they suck too. they just raised everyones prices for internet and tv (and phone too as i recall) while adding caps. anyone else think its retarded to charge us more for getting less?

anyone else think its kinda funny how so often people build two setups one with an amd proc and an nvidia vid card and another with an intel proc and an amd/ati vid card? i know nvidia and intel don't get along too well but amd/ati is one company so seems like it would make sense to pair up their own products. im not saying this is bad per se just a little funny. i used to run intel procs with an ati vid card all the time (still do on a a couple comps) but my main one happens to be intel/nvidia right now. although admittedly its because i usually prefer intel but flip flop between ati and nvidia.

also, i can't believe oedipus_rex. why the hell would you post an entire comment for an article without mentioning anything but one mistake (not even one related to content). you clearly have too much time on you hands so why don't you go volunteer or something constructive instead of just trying to make yourself feel smart. (btw the post actually just makes you seem dumber)
