MySpace's Continuing Failure Catches Its Executives Off Guard

Posted 06/16/2009 at 07:26:40am

Everyone I know flocked to Facebook once MySpace apps started installing malware.  They don't seem to check any of the third-party apps for that sort of thing.  Not to mention 3 out of 4 MySpace pages look like a clown threw up all over them while the worst music you've heard in a while plays in the background.

Just an awful "social networking" site all around.  And it doesn't seem to have long.

Church of Scientology Banned From Wikipedia

Posted 06/01/2009 at 09:14:58am

The Church of Scientology is a total scam that has ruined many lives.  It's the only "religion" with tax exempt status that I know of which requires you to pay to get the full story of this supposed religion.  It was also founded by a science fiction author who once said something like "there's a lot of money in religion."

Scientologists are gullible and sad.  The fact that they have to resort to these tactics just shows how insecure they are.

And apparently wherever you're from is the only place you can make quadruple posts and not be ridiculed.

Nobody is saying Microsoft is claiming a loss.  Just that their sales fell for the first time since their inception.  Still a significant situation to be in, at least for Microsoft.

Survey: Majority of Businesses Won't Upgrade to Windows 7 Until 2011

Posted 04/15/2009 at 08:43:54am

I'm curious how you maintain an application for which you don't have the source code.

At any rate, there are always more reasons not to upgrade than to upgrade an operating system.  Until an OS vendor can figure out how to add a whole lot of value to their OS inside a generation, companies will continue holding off on upgrading as long as possible.  A fancier GUI isn't impressive to anyone's bottom line.
