Boot, Baby, Boot! (Please?)

Posted 10/22/2009 at 12:07:42pm

I would think it is very doubtful that the disk is at fault, if that was the case he would get a more consistant problem but because he is still able to get to his OS with "rock solid" performance when he gets there I would think his disk is just fine.  I do however agree with checking your USB connections, I've had several USB connections over the years stop by boot cold.  I've gone through the same steps that are listed and have had success before.

Analyst: Prepare to Pay More (A Lot More) for Xbox Live

Posted 10/19/2009 at 01:43:00pm

wow ok I'll be the first 360 user to comment on that....

100$ a year, breaks down to just innder 10$ a month, that is double the ammount that it is at now.  If they expect for people to double they had better have something to show for it.  I don't think that netflix(assuming people use it, I personally don't), and a few small things they have added over the years warrents the major price hike.

Another thing to look at is who the majority of thier clients are..... kids with parents, the parents who pay for the kid's xbox live account.  I doubt they will like paying 2 times as much as before.  just as I was writing this on of my friends even said that if the price does go up like that he wont buy gold aymore.  just goes to show you how much of a bad idea this is.

P.S at the time when I wrote this I would have been the first xbox user to comment.... but then I got busy with work related stuff for like 2 hours :(

The Game Boy: Killing Millions Since 1857

Posted 10/15/2009 at 01:04:25pm

I have to agree and say that it is just a game.  Yes killing people for money or just because you can is really wrong.  video games are all about doing stuff you can't do in real life.  Granted violent games have been known to motivate and inspire the young kids but that is where the parents are supposed to step in and be a moral guide.... unfortunately MOST parents just buy the kids the game they want and once they get home the parents just go and do their own thing; instead of actually looking that the game's rating and not watching the kid actually play the game and saying that games are all fun and games but doing that in real life is wrong.. ect.  Even my parents would peak in every once in a while to take a look at the new game i was playing, especially when i could afford games on my own.  So when it all comes down to it who cares what you do when playing a game ITS NOT REAL!  It’s designed that way so you can have fun doing things that you normally would/could never do.
