about two months ago I built a core i7-920 with a ATI 4890....Then Intel releases the i5-750 which is 80 dollars cheaper but on par performance wise with the i7-920. Now ATI releases this beast 5870 for only 380 dollars.  Jeez, if only i could have waited two months longer lol. I suppose I could flip my current card and upgrade.

I never went to Vista and bought home Premuim for the sale price plus $30 off opening an Amazon.com credit card account. I only paid $24.97. I couldn't be happier.

Went to Amazon to pick mine up. I did the Amazon.com credit card offer and got an additional 30 bucks off. Very happy about this as i never picked up Vista and haven't upgraded my PC in 5 YEARS!!! October can't come soon enough. I'll prolly just order my new PC, slap 7 RC1 on there then upgrade from that.

I took a full backup of my PC at home..haha actually using Windows Home Server...and also transfered alot of my files in raw form to another server I have. I am using windows 7 beta as my primary OS right now and I've had a few issues with drivers like my onboard NIC wouldn't load so i put in a PCI Intel Pro/100 NIC. The first time i installed I had a BSOD with my onboard sound but I started over the next day and Updates got me alldrivers that worked awesome, but the onboard NIC again. I am giving all the feedback I can to do my part in making this the best OS on the planet. It is all hooked up to my xbox 360 and works like a charm. I am afraid I will get so used to it That I will need to buy it at launch at its highest price. Maybe if I send feed back enough they will give me a FREE copy....ya right. I think it is great. XP is nice and all, but I am getting tired of Zune theme and all other themes and just ready for something else. I tranferred all the files back and played with the picture veiwer and windows media center. Other then the early driver problems...it works like a new OS...that was FREE

My Onboard sound was blue screening mine as well. Haven't tried the soundblaster yet. My windows 7 installed on my old MSI K7N2 ILSR Athlon XP 3200+ YAAA! Wouldn't take the Nvidia nforce onboard NIC either. I had to install an old PCI Intel Pro/100

The 360 is 3 years in. They have time to fight this battle with blu ray with dig distribution. If in 3 years Blu Ray really takes off they will put it in the Xbox 720, DVD is still strong enough, espesially in this economy, that M$ just doesn't need to do this yet. no big deal really. When a player reaches 99.99 I will buy a Blu-Ray player....MAYBE

Ok it was one day late...but after that, there were no problems at all for anybody to download. It's so funny how people get all butt hurt about this. M$ knows it will end up on a torrent anyway so why would they bother.

I think windows 7 will go a long way. It seems people right now are really help ing MS more to make a product they like. I think people really want a new OS from XP, but do not want to make the jump to Vista. I am participating as much as I can. I took a back up of my old system and am using 7 Beta as my primary OS. I can say it's not nearly as annoying and there are a lot of little things you wouldn't expect that would make a difference like the auto maximize when you drag your window to the top of the screen or the task bar the way you can rearrange your buttons. We''l see how the Xbox 360 extender works shortly.

I think they are on to something as well...Only if they stay priced right. Not sure they will work out if they are more then $550-600. If these launch and stay sub $500. I will totally wait for these over a netty. We'll just call these Neo's
