AT&T One-Ups Comcast with 20GB (not 120GB) Bandwidth Cap

Posted 11/08/2008 at 06:11:58pm

Well, I was thinking the same thing when I read all the comments. It shocked me that someone else didn't think about the internet movie subscribers. I was thinking of doing HD Movie Download services and now I'm not going to because this would limit my movie watching so much it's nuts. I watch at least one movie a day if not more. A movie in just DVD quality is between 4 to 8 GB. That's not HD so if someone was a movie buff and watched in standard DVD format 1 movie a day and 2 a day on weekends that would be over the 250GB cap of Comcast. Even lower is even more absurd! Now if you go to HD they are greatly bigger than DVD's 4 to 8 GB. I haven't done much with HD yet so I don't know the size but it basically puts a damper on technological advancement of on demand movies. These figures don't include you kids on-line gaming, your e-mail, school work, working at home, reading on-line magazines, picture sharing, video sharing, ect. We need to find a way to stop but short of purchasing a T3 or OC3 line and starting your own service it's going to be hard to find a way. Lets hope that this opens up a door for competitors to get in and wipe out the big bad bullies.

DreamWorks Dumps AMD to Take Intel to the Movies

I will remain loyal to AMD forever.  They will com back they always do.  Even if they don't I will always have an AMD powered PC.  I hope that the breach of contract kicks DreamWorks in the butt!  Maybe if you people would quit switching as soon as there is a problem AMD would come back faster.  They will be back and I'm going to ride it out till they do!
