The Game Boy: The Case of Infinity Ward Vs. The People
Posted 03/13/2010 at 01:23:42pm
I totally agree with this article. I'd much rather have new innovative shooters like FEAR, at the time, crysis, and Bad Company. But what has never been in shooters, realistic ones, is body dismemberment. I liked FEAR for this reason. When I shoot someone close up with a shotgun, I'm sure blood wouldn't just spurt out. Something is gonna fly off. I'll admit FEAR was a little excessive but take BC2. There is tank shells, .50Cal's and much more projectiles that would do more than just make u twitch when u get hit by them. I think we have all seen Future Weapons when MAC shoots watermelons with a .50Cal sniper. So all that being said, I know its kinda demonic to some, but I look at it as more time and effort that needs to go into a game that developers like IW don't do and what people like Monolith do.
Apple Censors NIN iPhone App; Trent Reznor Gets Salty

I totally agree with the coments that Trent had. I often think that Apple is stuck up. What successful company has no backup plan for when the CEO leaves? As much as Jobs has cultivated thinking outside of the box, which I admire, this is just rediculous. "Hold everything, except songs that have swears in them."
HABEY Mini-HTPC is Atom-Powered, Can Still Handle 1080p

I used the Core AVC codec with windows media player classic and was able to play 1080p perfectly fine. I was using an Atom 330, however, which is the dual core version of the 270. I played Independance Day, Bourne Ultimatum, and Casion Royale perfectly fine with no audio lag or vido lag.
As If You Needed Another Reason Not to Buy Laptops from Office Depot

I can totally vouch for this. This article is completely true. I cannot tell you how many times I have told him that this sort of strategy is not right. It hurts customer trust, therefore destroying any return business and/or business at all. Ironically enough our laptops are in very short supply as it is. Very rarily do we have more than 1-3 of the sale (front page) laptop in stock. I'm new to the forum but have been a No BSer for around 2 years now. This article really sparked my interest because this is proof to my manager that I am not making excuses.
