Say it ain't so!
If I remember correctly from MaxPC's "100 greatest PC innovations of all time" (or something like that) article, they cited USB as number one for reasons including "shrewdly [keeping] the same formfactor" and therefore retaining compatibility between USB 2 and 1. If USB 3 isn't compatible with 2 or 1, I will seriously consider either waiting years to adopt, or not adopting at all, the new technology.

You need to be using Internet Explorer. THe Windows live Website doesnt always play nice with Firefox.

First of all, I never said that I personally text/call/twitter while driving, but I am not offended by people doing it. I just pass them and get on with my day.

Your percentages (77%, 23%, and 1%) are correct, based on the article's wording: "23 percent activated on more than one, and just 1 percent of users tried to activate on more than three machines." Obviously, the 1% that activated on more than three must fall also into the 23% that activated on more than one.

C'mon! I use freeware for almost everything. I use OpenOffice, AVG, and many others. The only reason I use PhotoShop is because someone gave it to me as a gift.

My laptop came with one of those "free vista upgrade" promos, so I installed Vista on it, and I have regretted it ever since. All this crap Microsoft is pulling may just be enough to get me to switch to Mac.
