I'm in the same boat. They better not cancel the order; I locked in the $259 price.

Rumor: Nvidia Assembling x86 Team
Posted 11/04/2009 at 09:43:33am
The graphics business needs to hold the fort? The only thing working in Nvidia's favor right now is the lack of ATI's 58xx parts in the channel.

iTunes 9 on Windows 7 is a Bit Wonky When Synced with the iPhone
Posted 11/02/2009 at 04:49:26pm
QuickTime on Windows was always a buggy POS, and iTunes has always been a lousy media manager. (Ran into this one this week: No easy way to mass delete all the files that can no longer be found.)
I've gone through periods where iTunes doesn't acknowledge that I have an iPod plugged in. Windows knows it's there. iTunes is clueless. Reboot, nothing. Reinstall iTunes, nothing. Then, magically, it starts working again.
If I had a spare 3 bills, I'd go Zune HD and never look back.

I would have added to that total if I could have found a 5850 at any retailer.

Verizon Vehemently Against Wireless Net Neutrality

Verizon is upset that they didn't get a chance to really screw their customers before the government told them they couldn't.

The Pros and Cons of 64-bit Windows 7
Posted 10/20/2009 at 07:28:19am
I have a Canon i850, which was released in 2002. By my reckoning, that makes it 7 years old.
Windows 7 Ultimate prints to it with no problem, and shares it just fine with an XP computer and Vista laptop.

How are those PowerMac users enjoying their Snow Leopard upgrade?

The Facebook Economy - High School Didn't Prepare You for This

People pay for virtual items in these games? I'll admit to having a minor Mafia Wars addiction, but I'm not getting my credit card out during gameplay, ever.

Cooler Master Storm Sniper
Posted 09/24/2009 at 02:29:51pm
Just bought a Storm Scout, which is a great case. I lose out on the Firewire on the front panel and the blue LEDs, but my interior is painted black.
BTW, they're not in stock at the Egg right now, but the Sniper is $50 less than the price mentioned in the article.
