Build Your Own Multitouch Surface Computer
Posted 06/21/2009 at 10:47:15am
This is definately the way of the future in technology. I have been saying this for years... the prospects are almost limitless... Consider space craft... no keyboards no mice less weight, but with all the familars of a computer at home without the bulk.. A star trek initiative. Give it time and incentives from goverments and businesses to developing this kind technology, we could see plenty of these in homes and cars etc... Couple with voice activation recognition software... whoa the ideas flood... You can have all this already .... for a price.... and thats typical... But building your, gives you satisfaction of accomplishment and pride... and when it works, enthusiam. I am going to build one, using the guide shown here, but with my own mods.... for example.. an old video game table (remember the first space invaders machine, something like that would be good.
I shall give it a go and see what happens...
cheers guys and thanks for the information
Hulu Still Trying to Keep Foreigners Out; Blocks Proxies

What the hell is HULU, who came up with a name like that.. sounds like a star trek character, hahaha.... Who cares about streaming video.. Most places around the world have crap broadband thus streaming would cost heaps and bad reception, on a crap broadband wave (unless you have something like 24Mb constant connection).. And why would you want to sit all day watching TV on the computer. Get a life.. That's what Televisions are for.. This whole idea is so crap, it's not world wide web at all. Its world segregated web... lmao.. Nothing beats a big screen and comfy arm chair with remote... Preferable with a maid and butler but we all can't be choosy... lol haha seriously..... read a book!
There's Way More to Linux than Ubuntu: 8 Distros Compared

But, Have you ever tried the distro (in beta form) Klikit Linux.... www.klikit.org I use it often as a main OS even though it is in beta, but I happen to not fault it. By beta standards its very stable and has a great and active community. You give it a go and see what you think... Built upon Kubuntu but with its own community feel and input. cheers all...
