Unfortunately it hasn't stopped some top pc gamemakers from going belly up. As the games get more elaborate and complicated, the cost of development goes up, but I don't think anyone's ready to start forking over a hundred bucks or more for a pc game title

EULA in MS's EULA stands for 'End User Loses Ass' which is what happens anytime anything Microsoft is purchased.

Microsoft is all about the money. How much did your partnership cost you? I pay for the same technet subscription every year, am not a partner, and probably can still buy the OEM's as cheaply as you can, and so can my bro who doesn't have a technet subscription.... MS only chums with the big daddys, we will never be able to compete with them. They see to that

I wouldn't say ALL computing... the cloud has to still exist on a backbone of physical hardwere, i.e. Servers with hard drives and physical ram. There will always be PCs. The corporate world runs on PCs. No web browser is going to take over digital platemaking. No web browser is going to run Autocad. Thinking that way is just a pipe dream, Chrome is just going to be another internet appliance used for nothing more than reading e-mail and playing Tard World on facebook

The browser IS the OS. Obviously you will need a internet connection 100% of the time, unless I missed something there seems to be no offline apps running on this thing. If it craps out it more or less will be a piece of toast.

OK so it is hardware specific and is a linux kernal that is "dumbed down" to being nothing but a browser on steroids... so how much is this going to cost. And from what I see all of us firefox users love our themes,add-ons and gadgets too much to be happy letting the OS tell us how things should be. I vote it off the Island....
