Screw that. The update process is worth ****, rarely works and I like to be clean. I don't care if it's $30. It's Home Premium anyways. I would at least want Professional.

I have been reading a bit. Let me get this straight:
With the upgrade edition- when I install, all I need is the Vista dvd to validate that I have a previous version?
It's OEM, too. Will that ruin it for me?

I have Vista 64 bit full. They are giving a deal on an Upgrade Edition. I heard there are no cheats and if you have Ultimate you're screwed. Is this true.

Is Home Premium enough for me? They have 64/32 bit on the same disc: correct? Lastly, I just play games, watch movies and go online. I would be going from Vista Ultimate to 7 Premium. It's an update version. How does that work for me?

Where do I find out if my school has MSDNAA and where are their Student Discounts for Windows 7? If I can't get it dirt cheap through school I will just buy the OEM sometime in the future.

The only reason I would be upgrading from Vista Ultimate x64 is because HL2 BSoDs on me every single time I quit the game. It doesn't work in 64-bit, so I have to put it to 32-bit. I could use the XP Virtual Machine and install HL2 on there....maybe that would work. Other then that....I am perfectly fine with Vista. No problems at all. I never really bought into the "Vista is crap" crap. I followed it's timeline and bought a copy from a friend 2 years ago. XP was actually giving me more problems then Vista was.
I might wait and buy it or just forget about it.

I have been looking at netbooks for awhile and now they have ones with some sort of graphic power. I wasn't planning on watching blu-ray or any crap like that but Intel's integrated stuff is crap.
Leave Bill and Melinda Gates Alone!

Bill Gates is the only rich individual that actually does something with his money instead of hoarding it all to himself. He helps people out instead of buying the 16th car..etc.
Chrome 4.0 vs Opera 10 vs Firefox 3.5
Posted 09/04/2009 at 09:17:19pm
I used IE and then I found out about Firefox. It was great while it lasted, but ever since 3.0 I have been having problems. I tried Chrome, disliked it and stayed with Firefox. Now on 3.5...and Firefox is having trouble loading rich text in Gmail, watching Flash (sometimes the browser crashed) and a couple other things had me looking the other way.
Now I am using Chrome and I am pretty sure I am going to keep it. The only theme I used on FF was the Nasa Night launch, I used about 3 add-ons (which surprisingly are replaced by Chrome-and better implemented...like Download Statusbar) and the simplicity is really nice. I don't need much, I'm just going on the internet...so Opera was pretty terrible.
It's nice to see that all these different browsers are borrowing from each other though. I guess it's all up to the user to decide what to use.

This is why I ALWAYS check reviews. They guide me to good titles to buy but it's not a controlling factor. By the time I purchase the games I want they are at aroud $30 anyways.
