I had one of the effected Seagate 1TB hard drives.  Everything seemed fine, then after one resart my bios began hanging and the hard drive could not be accessed.  Luckily I had a product replacement plan, and most of my data was backed up, but it was inconveniant.  Not all of the dirves are affected by the firmware issue.
