Windows 7 Upgrade Guide for RC (Release Candidate) Users
Posted 10/26/2009 at 07:14:28am
I preordered the 49.99 upgrade copy last summer when it was on special.......Then i was lucky enough to be chosen as a "house party" host so i got the free copy of "ultimate" too.
I installed the "ultimate" free edition on my desktop gaming rig......i had xp-mce 2005 installed on my HTPC and wanted to install the upgrade version on it.....but i wanted to dual boot with my HTPC xp-mce/seven........so i created a partition for seven on HTPC and proceded to install seven on it.....the only problem i had ....was when i attempted to activate it online.....i was denied and prompted to do the annoying call in avtivation method.
I did the call in "annoying" method and all went good .....i now have the "ultimate seven" on my desktop/gaming rig.......and XP-mce/seven updrade on my home theater pc.
So that is my experience.........i realy like the netflix streaming incorporated into the meda center of 7.

Is the Sega Dreamcast the Biggest Tech Flop of the Past Decade?

I thought the dreamcast was a great console for its time..........it was a shame when they discontinued support for it.
I do not consider it to be a flop..........except for the fact sega abandoned it.

Windows 7 Buyer's Guide: Which Edition is Right for You?
Posted 06/29/2009 at 04:49:46pm
I have already pre-ordered (yesterday) my upgrade copy of seven HP.
I have been running XP/vista 64/seven RC ....in a triple boot config.
will i be able to use the upgrade version of seven in the same way as a triple boot setup?
Reason i want to do this is......i am always helping friends and family with tech support and it makes it so much easier to instruct them when you can boot into the same OS they are using.
will using say... my copy of XP or Vista void the ability to run it on its own?......all OS's will be run on the same machine

How-To: Install Windows 7 RC as a Dual Boot, Over Vista, or From Scratch
Posted 05/11/2009 at 07:46:51am
I am a huge COD fan.....both cod 4 and cod waw.
the problem is with punkbuster and windows 7 and cod games.
Has anyone figured a way to get punkbuster, windows 7, and COD, to play nice together?
I play COD regular, and this prevents me from booting into seven as my primary OS.

Netflix May Offer Premium Content for an Additional Fee

No Way!
why should i pay 10 dollars a month to netflix to stream HBO in SD quality.......when i currently getting 7 channels of HBO on "directv" (inc. HD)for the same price.
Now....if netflix could allow me to stream both all "showtime and HBO" programs for 10 or 12 dollars a month i might consider it.
And by the way.....i have a home built "home theater pc".....it would be nice if netflix would show us HTPC'ers some HD love....like they do the xbox 360 users.
