Blizzard Presentation Says Diablo III’s Not Coming in 2010
Posted 11/15/2009 at 02:39:13am
I've moved on. Other companies are getting my money (like Bethesda with Oblivion in 2006 and Fallout 3 in 2008). There are other ways to get my RPG fix and thanks to you guys fiddling around my taste has changed from linear hack and slash to open world. I really don't care about Diablo III anymore.
As far as giving people time to "upgrade their rigs" I've built five different PCs since Diablo II: LoD came out. Blizzard gives you WAY too much time for that new hardware to get stale. Drag-asses.

WoW was lots of grinding and traveling (and queues) in 2005 as well.
ATI HD Radeon 5870: The Fastest Videocard Ever (PS It's $380)
Posted 09/23/2009 at 10:53:36am
After almost three years there's finally a card worth retiring my venerable, OC'd 8800 GTX for. Nothing in the previous gen was worth the money vs. performance increase. One of these will give me that "wow" feeling I had when I first got the 8800 GTX. Its just no fun upgrading if you can't get double the performance of your old card.
Only snag is I'll wait for a third party cooling solution (like an HIS IceQ 4). From what I understand the stock one is noisy and hot running (typical of AMD).
Bing 2.0 May Launch this Fall
Posted 09/12/2009 at 12:08:53pm
Bing is just too pared down in the results it shows to suit me. If you are looking for something kind of esoteric Bing will probably miss that page. If I want to narrow results that's what "" around a name or statement is for.
Now, Microsoft Indoctrinates Best Buy Employees against Macs
Posted 09/10/2009 at 12:05:55pm
I'd play along for a $10 copy of Win 7, but even if there is a fragment of truth I hate being indoctrinated with loaded questions or a slant that is "pro-anything". I can do my own research. I would hope most BB employee's would do the same, but from my observation at a local store that's without a doubt a hit or miss proposition. Some are really sharp on tech, with others it was either work there or a local discount store.
Intel's Core i5 Analyzed and Tested (150+ Benchmarks)
Posted 09/08/2009 at 12:52:05am
I know from countless reviews that a PII X4 955 or 965 is the equal (and occasionally better) of a stock i7 920 in real world gaming resolutions and quality options. I don't see that changing with the i5. No, I'm not disappointed in my PII build. Does exactly what I want it to do for the price I wanted to pay at the time I needed a new PC.
If you live and die by other types of benchmarks why would you build a PC with a Phenom II in the first place?
Hands-On Impressions: Diablo III is Good Old-Fashioned Fun
Posted 08/29/2009 at 03:00:31pm
They've had their nose up WoW's butt for way, way too long to the detriment of their single player games. We shouldn't have to wait 9-11 years for a sequel to a popular game.
