AT&T Charges Woman 5 Large in Overage Charges; Gets Sued
Posted 03/04/2009 at 03:28:56pm
I love the fact that AT&T expects that woman to be able to pay that much. In this Economic "Crysis" to expect the average person to pay that much in overages is insane. Actually AT&T will lose because they have been found to remove your unlimited data Plan from your iPhone and then give you a bill for $12,000. look at youtube you will see what I mean. Honestly how much does it cost AT&T to provide that Bandwidth? I Bet much less than what they are charging her. I have my own Web Server and it costs me $4.50 a Month for 200GB Bandwidth. That is much less than what she used.
It is just a scam, because These days a 3 year old can use more bandwidth than AT&T gives you per month. Wasn't the RIAA suing less $ per infringing song?
Well then I hope She wins because it is wrong for a company to charge that much, in one month. No one would have bought that Netbook if they knew the possibility of getting a bill like that.

DVD Copying Is On The Rise
Posted 07/13/2008 at 09:24:40am
Think About it, The Movie Industry Makes back most if not all of the money from Theaters ticket sales. The movie studios have started a new feature for DVDs that they call "Digital Copy". Digital Copy is a MP4 version on the Disc; you can copy it to your iPod with no problems. It does save allot of time encoding.
As for the transition from VHS to DVD I can understand the price difference, because DVDs had far superior Quality. But the transition from DVD to Blu-ray isn't going to satisfy the price. One it is too expensive. Two, Sony is stupid because if I don't have an HDTV why would I buy Blu-ray? The elderly have DVD players, because it isn’t HD. They aren’t going to buy a $1,000+ HDTV and a $500 Blu-Ray Player, with their only income from social security. So if the blu-ray sales aren't going well, it’s not because no one likes it. It is because not everyone has a HDTV.
As for the Rental DVD coping, I do it. Why? Because I am already paying something for it. People do it all of the time. I get some Pre Release DVDs from my uncle, and copy them as well. The whole thing is why I should have to pay $40 a movie if I am going to watch it once or twice.
Add RAM, Lose Your Display?

I had the same problem, but the what i did to solve it was swaping the memory banks. i had two slots, slot one had 256MB DDR2 and slot 2 had nothing. when i added a 1GB DDR2 stick to the slot 2, the screen went Blank when Booting up. i Swaped the memory to have in slot 1 (1GB) and slot 2 (256MB). It seams that you have to put the higher memory Size in Slot 1. Note: ram added was the same Clock Speed.
