Microsoft Denies Rumors of NSA Backdoor in Windows 7

Except for the part where these are just people's opinions.
Microsoft Denies Rumors of NSA Backdoor in Windows 7
Posted 11/20/2009 at 04:22:16pm
Although I admit that I have nothing to hide myself, with TechJunkie and Black. The fact of the matter being is that it is still a potential for an invasion of privacy, which is why everyone is on high alert about this. No matter if we're terrorist or not; moreover; the NSA shouldn't be able to walks in, and spy on us anytime they please. I'm, again, reminded of someone from our countries past who had it right, "Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
We live in a world where we listen to what the media says, and the media is always spelling doom on the television screen. The government has their little elevation warning level to show us just how fucked we are, and the list goes on and on. If you give the government an inch, they'll take a mile... My point being is that we shouldn't happily say,"Go ahead, here is my password, government." Does it help better protect us at the end of the day? Yes, but at what cost are we giving up these essential freedoms? People need to learn to live, but not live in fear.
PC Gaming Alive and Thriving, No Slowdowns in Sight
Posted 11/19/2009 at 11:24:46pm
There are always going to be a ton of PC gamers out there, me included; however, PC game studios are throwing in the towel, in a lot of cases, and headed over to the console systems instead. The problem with PC gaming is and will always be that its easier to steal pirated copies for the PC than it is for the Xbox, PS3, or Wii. I'm a firm believer, though, that the best solution to this problem, for now, is the Steam platform system. A fair DRM, always available, and tons of content being added all the time. You will always have those who say,"PC gaming is done for." but I have heard the end for years and still it has yet to come.
Obama to China: Tear Down this Firewall
Posted 11/16/2009 at 03:15:11pm
Wow, I am actually amazed that the Chinese government would allow Obama to go in, say that what China was doing was wrong with its "Great Firewall", and encourage the students to think more openly and democratically.
Survey: Cyberbullying becoming a Major Problem
Posted 11/16/2009 at 03:07:55pm
Well, this isn't all that surprising at all considering that the retards (bullys) would eventually figure out how to switch on a computer, hit start, and press Firefox and start sprouting bs. E.g. trolls, cyberbully, etc.
Murphy's Law: Gaming? Open? Ha!
Posted 11/12/2009 at 05:12:13pm
Hey Murphy,
I do see your point with there needing to be a univeral all-in-one place for gamers to go to. However, right now, the gaming industry is new to the idea of online content, and it is just a fact that competition is going to arise in trying to take over this new business model.
Eventually, someday, we will see online markets (Steam, GoG, D2D) finally take their rightful position in the world of online distribution and content as the kings of online gaming. Innovation and competition are fueling these shattered online gaming services to strive ahead of one another and gain a larger crowd than their competition. It's never bad to have a lot of competition, Murphy. Mind you what happens when a company has no competition... It becomes lazy, set's its own standards, and can put the price wherever it wants to because of no competition.
Again, I agree that one day there needs to be a "king" of them all, and they need to find ways to allow us to more freely and openly use our games. For now, let's just enjoy the nice competition, prices wars, and what have you that's going on with the current online distributers.

Is Zinc-air Going to be the Next Big Rechargeable Battery Tech?

Yep! Right next to the hundreds of other power-saving energy alternatives that have been claimed as the next miracle in battery life, but have fallen short... Bit of a mouthful, don't you think?
MySpace Not Really Moving Forward, Needs to Restrategize
Posted 10/26/2009 at 04:58:04pm
Myspace is dead for god sakes... It's like a wounded animal that won't go find somewhere to go lay down and die. Oh, and the moment Hulu moves to paid content, well, there goes its first place position.
