Ballmer: Windows 7 Off to "Fantastic Start"

Posted 11/19/2009 at 08:30:51pm

More like the average young-un these days needs some sort of matte white or shiny object to stimulate themselves fo more than 5 minutes. That's why they all get Xbox's and Wii's and PS3' andApple crap. It sucks though because I'm considered to be in that age group.

The NSA has been Working with Microsoft on Windows 7 Security

Posted 11/18/2009 at 08:14:21pm

If the NSA wants to spy on me I could care less. I'm no threat to North America. Heck, I'd welcome a visit from Sam Fisher, as long as he doesn't try to kill me. It's only one 'strrike' for me in real life.

Is this the same Goldman that didn't do any research and then start spewing out false facts about Apple laptops live on air?If not, this is disturbingly similar.

Left 4 Dead 2

Posted 11/17/2009 at 04:28:26pm

They usually print game reviews in the magazine. THEN 6-8 months later the PRINTED version goes on-line, unless it's really hot, like L4D2. Also, they're not Maximum PC Gamer, game reviews don't usually take their front page, hardware usually does. I'm guessing this will go in the mag at some point, maybe next issue?

Left 4 Dead 2

The reason why people are complaining about the Source engine being 'old' is because it works. You're right. It's one of the smoothest, if not THE smoothest, most playable engines out there. If the Source engine is around in another 10 years, I won't complain unless they frak it up somehow.

Toshiba NB205

Posted 11/17/2009 at 04:17:13pm

I've been eyeing this little puppy at work ever since the XP version was released. Now that I know the definitive battery life (Toshiba CLAIMS 9 hours, real world tests you did show about 7) and your final verdict, I'm pleased to admit I'll buy one. Unless HP releases a netbook that has the Ion platform AND 7. I like power on the go, but my 17 inch is too damn big anymore.

Windows 7 OEM EULA Excludes Home Builds not for Resale

Posted 11/15/2009 at 05:57:09pm

I'm like the Engineer. I build things. Including my PC.

"Unless the end user is actually assembling his/her own PC, in which case, that end user is considered a system builder as well. "

I build my own PC's, I get to use OEM copies. Simple as that.

What if Steam joined forces with GFWL? It would be Games For Steam! Microsoft could let Valve do all of the good work they do, but GFWL would never have to rear it's ugly head again!

AT&T Tries to Get Verizon "Map for That" Ads Pulled From the Air

Posted 11/13/2009 at 07:29:18am

Sorry, I meant 'the mis-representation of the facts' which could be called lying at times. Verizon does make AT&T out to be Bob's House of Phones iin the commercials when really, they're not.
