i've heard of cases where the codes on the back that are supposed to be anti piracy protection don't work sometimes... so after paying 50 bucks people are screwed with a faulty code... so rather than figure things out they just pirate the game since they already payed for it.

that's probably why it gets pirated so much.

valve is one of the few pc gaming companies that isn't paranoid about piracy and DRM crap and they encourage mods and they release DLC stuff like it's a no brainer. i think we can all afford to wait a little for the new css and portal and half life 2 episode 3 since they seem to take their time but in the end get things done right. why "everyone" "hates" them for this doesn't make sense....

i would pay a full 50 bucks for l4d2 but i think it would be cool if previous owners of the game can pay for an upgrade version for say 20 bucks instead. let the newbies pay the full 50, which would give them backwards compatibility with l4d1.

idk... 

just an idea.... who knows if it's what they'll do... but i still think they're one of the best gaming companies out there.

can you really call this version 3 then? 3 would imply a toatl redesign or upgrade....

this is simply features.... unless they aren't releasing details on a new screen or harddrive or more storage or something cool like that i think this deserves a version 2.6  or something....

books had the ultimate form of "DRM". they were books... unless you took all the time to type up and post the stuff on the internet or maybe created some sort of word scanning software it stayed in pretty much the same format you bought it in... a book....

i would like to see maybe a second option thing to this.... cause i mean every budget builder, especially maximumpc fans on a budget, knows that they can stick old parts from they're older comps in the new one... so like the 550 watt PSU... maybe offer a second option of cpu if you didn't have to buy that.... besides i think that PSU was on the pricey side... OCZ has a 600watt psu on newegg for 50 bucks and with the rig you're running you don't need a king of the hill brand psu. it's just a single midline graphics card with a midline cpu. plus you don't need a top of the line case for that... 110 bucks for a case if you have to buy a PSU seperate anyways is a bit lame.... idk just my thoughts.... in this economy even people building a $1000rig should be trying to get every penny out of that sucker that they can.
