come on....a bug fine..but a "major" bug? Shame on your Max PC for looking to grab headlines.
Mozilla Mulls Moving to 64-Bit with Firefox 3.6
Posted 07/07/2009 at 10:13:23am
I would be using IE8 64 bit if it was not for the lack of support for such things as Flash....if this can be addressed - 64bit browsing will be awesome. I think its inevitable that everything will go that way with Windows 7, and Office 2010 pushing 64 versions.

No BS Podcast #99A: Funny Math
Posted 04/06/2009 at 08:38:42am
I thought the ad was fine - and if it means you can continue with the podcast, I could care less if you had 2 ads.
I read the comments before listening, and braced for lousy episode, I was pleasantly surprised though, I thought this was a very entertaining episode, Gordon's wrap around in the April 1st -> PHD/MD was brilliant. The conversation over the High Schooler trying to get past his schools proxy servers was perfect, and predictable.
I wonder if you guys would cover more 64bit news or if its not even worth it. (is everyone running 64 bit now, or is it just not that different)
I have looked for some benchmarking comparisons of Vista 32 vs 64 bit and am not finding much - I switched to 64 bit a few months ago and have been happy, but can't figure out if the machine feels faster because of the rebuilt, or because of the OS.
Thanks!

Ultimate Malware Removal Guide -- Purge Your PC of Junk Files!
Posted 01/29/2009 at 01:37:17pm
why would you come onto a discussion like this to talk about how smart you are to use a MAC? Everyone reading this article is interested in cleaning up spy/mal ware from their PCs. We don't need to listen to the pompous likes of you, bragging about your wonderful Mac. You obviously are drinking the mac-grape flavored Kool-aid, "go sell crazy some place else, we are all stocked up here. "
Macs have strengths, and (plenty) of weaknesses, just like PCs. There were also more critical security issues with MAC OS then with Windowsin the past:

Macs gaining in popularity will only continue to expose their security issues, and increase in Mac Malware in inevitable,

Google Falls off Most Trusted Companies List

Apple a Trusted company? how funny. This just goes to show what market spin can do. The only difference between apple and microsoft in terms of trust is percieved, not actual.
Facebook Wins $873 Million Case Against Spammer
Posted 11/25/2008 at 12:13:27pm
seems to me the relief will be short term as the spammers move to a different "spam king" and/or find alternative methods for filling up our inboxes with their crud. thankfully gmail has a great spam filter.

HP Launches TouchSmart TX2, World’s First Multi Touch Laptop
Posted 11/19/2008 at 09:22:19am
We have been using the Dell XT Tablet for about a year - this is considered Multi-touch as well. (Pen and touch input) - the N-Trig (input) drivers / software had been problematic - but seem to be working better since the last update. I read somewhere that the multi-touch funtions of Windows 7 were being tested with the XT...
I would be very interested in reading a review or hearing peoples experience with this convertable tablet.

Is Windows 7 M3 Build 6801 Really "Vista R2?"
Posted 11/13/2008 at 07:36:15am
Lets judge it as a completed OS while its still in PRE BETA!
Kennedy thinks Vista is confusing? This comment alone is enough for me to discredit the article. The ability to simply Type what ever I want into the search box and get results nearly instantaneously is not confusing to me...it doesnt get any simplier.
I think Windows 7 will address the biggest complaints people have had about Vista, I mean, how can it not? If you are Microsoft, wouldnt that be job one? Speed, UAC, Compatability, Battery Life.
I agree with a couple of you on here - I have had very few Vista issues after running it for almost 2 years. And have rolled it out to a segment of my users. We have not had 1 user complain about it being "confusing".
hat I would really like to see how ever is a Server 2008 version for Desktop, powershell at the desktop level would be very cool. Maybe this would be the Non-Confusing, Non-Consumer OS Kennedy is looking for.
