Murphy's Law: Cisco's Closed, but Speedy Network Solution

Posted 03/11/2010 at 02:30:57pm

This is actually quite an impressive piece of gear. Too bad Cisco's marketing group elected to send the announcement to general interest publications, thus ensuring a gigantic "meh" from 90% of the planet

IT Survey: Macs Less Expensive to Manage than PCs

Come on, Paul. The sponsor of this "survey" (hilariously named "Enterprise Desktop Alliance") is a company selling Macintosh integration sulutions.. http://www.enterprisedesktopalliance.com/abouttheeda.html

This isn't news, it's a press release trying to drum up business. Disregard.

Apple's "Magical" iPad Available on April 3, Pre-orders Begin March 12

WTF is this thing for? It's too big to carry in your pocket and too limited to replace your laptop.

The only thing I can imagine using it for would be sitting on my couch browsing the web...if I was feeling too lazy to open the lid of my netbook. Oh, wait, it doesn't do flash. Never mind.

Is it bad if you reloaded your save because a party member you really wanted dead didn't die?

Ha, ok. I didn't actually do that. But I came close. The nice thing about ME2 is it's such a good game, I'm eager to play it through again just to try out different decisions.

Nexus One Sales Off to a Slow Start

AT&T is fine in my area, and has always been fine in my experience. T-Mobile might be fine where I am, but I'm not paying an extra $10/mo. over AT&T for the basic 3G + voice service just to find out.

Verizon? I guess you don't travel much. CDMA networks are few and far between worldwide. I need a phone that actually works abroad (GSM). IF the Verizon Nexus One can handle both CDMA & GSM quad-band (unlikely), I'll consider it.
