AMD  isn't some underdog mom and pop shop. They have (and had) both the resources and the time to design a compelling product. They also have ATI's profits to call on.

Actually, he is correct in that the PALIT will consume more power, seeing as how it is factory overclocked. Of course the difference won't be staggering, but it should be greater, nontheless.
