Lich King Bears All for Free
Posted 12/19/2008 at 11:03:41am
When you don't have the chance to have a life...like being in Iraq either fixing helicopters or sitting in a 9x9 box with a roommate...WoW is actually a pretty good game to kill a year of being at "war".
Game prefrence is really based on the ammount of time that you are either willing or not willing to put into a game. If you have time...you play Warcraft...if you don't you play games like Crysis or CoD4 where you can save your place and come back anytime and not miss out on anything.
Anyone that actually plays warcraft hates it when Blizzard gives out more free trials. All a free trial does is give free access to all those gold spam websites to get in the game and piss everyone off with their endless gold spamming.

"Monster vs Monster" Pits Goliath Cable Maker Against David-Sized Mini Golf Company

Monster? Are you kidding me? That's like Nintendo coming out and going after every company that uses "Super" in its name. Hey that's actually not a bad idea. Maybe Nintendo can go after the oil industry for its use of the name "Super Unleaded" on its products. There needs to be like an amendment to the constitution to not allow this type of crap to happen. Trade marking a word should never be allowed. No one should be allowed to take a common, every day word and slap a trademark symbol on it.
What leaves me scratching my head is why now? Monster has been around since 1978. Why weren't they throwing the flag back when companies first allegedly committed "trademark violations". A lot of the companies on their list haven’t even been around that long.
I'd be really surprised if anything more than a dismissal comes from all this.
ITC Gives Rambus (*cough* Patent Troll *cough*) Permission to Investigate Nvidia
Posted 12/05/2008 at 04:39:42pm
Like Harold Hughes needs more money to wipe his ass with. Everyone is getting sick of having to go through Rambus to use the same technology that everyone needs to use to advance computer technology as a community. It's money hungry CEOs like this that can't play nice with eachother and make us have to pay out the ass for last years technology. I hope the supreme court breaks them up this time around.
Nvidia Still Showing Interest in Netbooks, Could be Just What the Market Needs
Posted 12/03/2008 at 05:31:56pm
One reason I don't understand the mini netbook market is because cell phones have already beat them too it.
My Cingular 8125 I've had for a couple years now and it does everything a mini netbook does. It has internet, e-mail, decent connection speed, blue tooth, wifi and it even had mircosoft office and media player. It also had a touch screen and a microSD card slot and yes, it made phone calls.
I took that phone all over the world and it never failed me. Now i see all these mini's out and i think what's the point? I already have that in my phone. I just don't see the mini market lasting.
Nvidia Still Showing Interest in Netbooks, Could be Just What the Market Needs

I can't see Nvidia even taking a chance in the mini-netbook market. The whole concept behind a mini is to cut the fat and get down to the basics: wireless internet, long battery life, small/light enough to throw in a backpack and cheap. Better graphics just isn't what a customer is looking for in a mini. Nvidia will just sway customers to buy from a competitor because of the added price tag.
