When I got Vista it was for OEM for the desktop that I built so I didn't get the plastic package everyone seems to hate.

You will need 1 license per computer so yes you will spend more since you have 2.

Maybe more people are building computers since it's most likely going to be cheaper and you don't have to worry about all the crap that companies put on the system.

Well I haven't bought any in the past month because I've been deployed for the past month. However, I have bought a few games from Steam but it's always nice to have the CD just in case if you lose connection or you are awhile for a while. Like I am now.

This is why people "steal" software instead of paying for it. Updates should be free. This is another reason why I have a Blackberry instead of Iphone or the ipod thing. Apple is just too greedy.
