It's Never Too Early for Windows 8 Rumors

Posted 09/24/2009 at 02:33:24am

Ummm,it comes out this year,I beleive it was October 22nd? Either way, this year.I too have had it with software and hardware becoming a "consumable" market like toilet paper, just costs less to wipe my ummm.Im currently on Vista and am finally happy with it,after all the service packs, and tweaking of my own. But,from what I hear windows 7 is vista ,done right. In any case,it is funny to release a OS 2 years after you just released one.

Like, for example ,little over a year ago I built my rig,it has a core 2 duo 8400 in it.Now thats considered old off course.I was thinking later of going to core i7,due to little more games are starting to support quad cores.Even tho, with my current build,I run every game max,and smooth,Exept for stalker CS still has some lag,but those games have never been known for being stable lol.Weel the first core i7's were 1366,so i9 knew I had to change mobo, and ram to accomadate. Now they just came out with the 1156 lynnfields.I have yet to figure out whether the newer ones are better or are just a budjet version. All I know is they support dual channel memory, instead of triple channel.Frmo what little I read, they are better? So iIF thats true, then, what a joke to buy a core i7 set up,to only 6 months later to have to buy another mobo,to switch to newer processor lol.

Companys do this cause most want to keep up with the jones, nect door hehe.I myself, really like having the latest and greatest.Me and my dad compete with who has the best rig(like guys with hot ords, which ones faster lol).I have finally drawn a line.My PC is only 1 year old.I will probably wait another 6 months and see where these processors end up,and more games support quads.Fact is we are gettingmore and more ports from console, that are generally easy to run max. With exeption of a few games.hell if crysis 2 is going multiplatform with cryengine 3.

Rumor: Nvidia to Refresh GT200 with DirectX 10.1 Support

Posted 06/27/2009 at 08:44:57am

Its there way of saying.....hey you need to buy new cards so you can have DX 10.1!!! Instead of already having it on the current gen of cards. But they wouldnt make enough money that way !!!!! LMAO

Im so sick of just feelin UBer with new hardware and few months later Im old tech lol.Tech ya gotta love it.Runs faster than my wallet does.

Yeah DX 10.1 is useless right now.DX 10 is just now in more games than before and its old???? BLAH!!

Hmmm...if you buy a new card JUST for DX 10.1.....I wonder will it run DX11 in WIn7 when its out on shelfs? or do ya gotta buy another card......lol,thats funny.

They do this on purpose, cause they know the hardware will last a long time,if they dont refresh products with something new. Then no one will buy more hardware. SO high tech hardware for PC's is a consumable market!!

Its like I have a core 2 duo 8400,it works great. But I wish I had a core i7 in right now, even tho on REAL benchmarks you gain average of 3-5 fps.Synthetic benchmarks of course show alot of difference between the 2 processors. But I cant justify buy a processor ram and mobo just to switch to a new i7,with small gain.I will say if I was building a new tower then yeah I would have one,i will when I build the next build then the corei999999 will be out lol.STILL i want the new tech!!! cause Im a GEEK and I like the TECHNOLOGY!!!.Just impossible to stay on top.My 2 GTX 280's are almost ancient already too...BLAH :-p

Rumor: HP Granted One Year Extension to Offer XP Instead of Windows 7

Posted 04/06/2009 at 03:05:57pm

Vista will support DX11, thats already official.Which I think was a good idea since they stuck it to us when I was on XP and could only use DX9....so I switched to Vista just for DX10.But,DX10 to me is garbage currently, still to buggy.DX11 will be along soon enough to replace it,Im so glad.

Dont get me wrong I still like having the DX10 option in my games. But In most games it has very little impact, the ones it does have impact visually ....it runs poorly. Its new thats expected.

I still had less video crashes with XP by far.But my main issue is that I have 8800GTX's in SLI.Vista has no love for my cards or SLI :-(.Im hoping moving to GTX 285's will solve that maybe......

If That dont solve it then maybe windows 7 will.....from my understanding Nvdia drivers are to blame not vista?

My brother has GTX260 and Vista and he dont have the same random crashes with certain games I get sometimes. But he dont play as many different games as I do,I play everything under the sun :-)

Note: I built my Brothers PC and mine along with 4 more throughout family....err.My brother and I have both exact same hardware and software exept I have 2 8800GTX's and he has GTX 260.He dont have issues with DX10 games I do with ceratin ones.Maybe something to do with 8800GTX being teh first DX10 card or Just the SLI.Either way Im staying on Vista, cause for most part Im fine..DX9 games are no issue at all.
