Game Theory: Grassroots Gaming
Posted 07/04/2009 at 08:36:28am
Wait.... Who are you going to petition to get rid of piracy? The lawmakers? That would be a good idea, except it's already illegal. How about the pirates themselves? Not much use there, the ones that are determined to get everything for free aren't going to change their minds anytime soon.... I'm sorry, I really do want to get rid of piracy, but it's already "banned" in many countries.... What good will a petition do? :P
On the subject of World of Goo, it is indeed a game worth paying for. I've only played the demo so far, but sometime I might get around to buying the full game.... I'm really sad to hear that it's developers got hit so hard financially. :(
Asus Talks Wii-Killer
Posted 06/13/2009 at 08:04:53am
How is this mis-leading? I find it to be perfectly accurate, as ASUS does indeed seem to be claiming that they can top the Wii. Whether it actually makes it into the market however, is another question entirely.... In this case, they seem to be all talk with little plan.

Have you tried playing VS mode online? That's a whole new game right there....
Official Windows 7 Launch Date: October 22

Vista can recover from driver crashes too.... I've crashed my display driver several times messing with stuff, and never had a BSOD because of it. :P
On the topic of W7, I will say I'm quite impressed so far, and I'm seriously considering the switch. As others have said, anything that works on Vista seems to work on W7 RC, and the GUI, while taking a bit to get used to, seems very nice. All-in-all, I think Microsoft should actually be able to pull this off without the same kind of troubles Vista had at launch.... *Shudders at the memories*
Alienware Defies Recession With a Monster Gaming Laptop
Posted 05/30/2009 at 07:32:19pm
Vista 64-bit does not have any extra bugs that I know of.... And I use it 6 hours a day, 7 days a week(I also have several Vista and XP 32-bit PC's to compare it to). The extra RAM is very nice, but I'll admit it's still overkill for the majority of users.
I've not ever used an alienware, but I think they are way overpriced. They don't seem to have service exceptionally above other OEM's(especially since they are owned by Dell), so you're pretty much just paying extra for the Alienware brand name.
Packard Bell Unveils Ion-Powered iMax Mini Nettop

I remember playing that game.... I feel old now. o.O
I always thought that Packard Bell had died off.... I never realized they were still active overseas.
Renesas Now Shipping Tiny, 1080p-Capable Cell Phone Processor

So this chip is only 10 nm wide?!? That IS compact.... o.O
I agree with what the post before mine says. 1080p on a moblie just doesn't interest me that much.
