i cant get over the fact that it has the most awkward layout. how the crap can i possibly use this thing comfortably on my lap? it seems like it would be fine on a table or desk but that defeats the whole portability purpose

i feel you. bloatware is completely pointless and the only reason i can think of for all the crap is cause they get money from the makers of their said crap. its a goo thing we build our own systems.

i saw a few more over at engadget, i dont have the link so sorry guys! but yeah, they highlight a few more features while keeping this whole "my idea" thing. i say good job...not resorting to childish and exagerrating bashing by the dingbats at apple. good use of $300 mil, finally

ugh, apple and their "innovations." using the stupid mighty mouse alone at work caused me to nearly want to cut my hand off (thanks for my msft mouse for saving my butt) this thing would definitely kill me. in terms of "inovation" msft has been working on this for a while and they have 3 different concept that are all more usefull end ergonomically designed. plus, seriously, why the heck would you want to use gestures? just cause they look cool? give me function over design please...

i am one that agrees with you. i however am one who despises not only the user you so eloquently described, but the company as well. their products are ok but of course not asgreat as apple hypes them to be.
