Hackers Create “Dedicated Servers” in Modern Warfare 2
Posted 11/18/2009 at 06:47:54am
I'm fine with them getting dedicated servers, but I ran into an aimbot yesterday and it PISSED ME OFF!
Modern Warfare 2 Breaks Record for Biggest Launch in Entertainment History

Too many people talked crap about this game. They complained about no 3rd party dedicated servers, and yes, I missed them at first, but after about 3 games I got over it and enjoyed it for what it was, and guess what, I loved it. They complained about only 9v9 and yes I miss the 25v25 games I used to play on 4, but if I want to play that, I can go back and play 4... 9v9 seems perfect for the maps and makes it better than dieing randomly. The only thing I had a problem with when I started playing was the campaign. After a little more play though (I finished it btw) I figured out what was going on and could not wait to finish to find out what happened. This game compleatly deserved the 4.7million coppies sold, and, in my opinion, deserves much more.
Modern Warfare 2 PC Multiplayer Capped at 9v9, Says Infinity Ward

I was going to give IW the benifit of the doubt, but now they pull this crap? I was always a huge fan of 50 player matches, and that would have gotten even better with MW2, but they have officially screwed the MP over... I was only ok with no dedicated servers, but this is too much. Don't get me wrong, I am still going to buy the game (I am more of a single player gamer anyways) but if the SP sucks, I will be amazed if I buy another CoD game again if they dont fix this...
Leaked Photos of the Radeon HD 5970 Dual-GPU Card Emerge

I know it isn't that wierd, but I still don't know why they changed the naming to 5970... I think that 5870x2 would have been better...
The Karmic Koala Makes Its Debut: Ubuntu 9.10 Now Available

the slow downloads. I am the type of guy that prefers to download the ISO vs upgrading "in place". That way, not only do I not have to worry about it messing up and me not having a CD, but I like to have fresh installs to mess with :)
Everything You Need To Know about Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala)
Posted 10/26/2009 at 07:39:46pm
I love using Ubuntu, however when I updated to the beta of 9.10, my computer refused to shut down out of linux... no hardware problem since I could boot and shutdown in XP/Vista/7 (I have a quad boot) without a problem, but whenever I tried to reboot/shutdown from linux it would hang... not anything I can b**** about too much but still anoying when I wanted to play a game or left the room hoping it would reboot
New Windows 7 Ads - "That was my Idea!"
Posted 10/25/2009 at 08:37:21am
The problem I see with these ads is that they target people who dont actually pay attention to ads... Any geek knows what OS he wants to run, wether it be Windows, Linux, or Hackintosh. These ads dont appeal to us because we already know the features... we already know it is secure and faster and easier to use... heck, most of us have been using the Beta/RC for months (I know I have). Instead, they try to appeal to people who dont even know what an Operating System is.
Apple Files Patent for OS Embedded Advertising
Posted 10/23/2009 at 08:04:38pm
Its ether Apple doing some shit like this or multitouch, or microsoft getting a patent for the Page Up and Page Down keys... The patents tech companies get are always stupid and always screw over the customer...

Boot, Baby, Boot! (Please?)
Posted 10/21/2009 at 04:08:42pm
What I found to be the problem was when my iPod was hooked in through USB and I tried to boot. Make sure to unplug any periferals other than your keyboard and mouse. (It shouldn't be a problem with the keyboard, I have a Logitech G15 too and it runs perfectly)
