Six Monitors, One Video Card. Hands-On with AMD's Eyefinity
Posted 09/10/2009 at 05:57:23pm
...DisplayPort. And the word Awesome! And the letter A. And the number 6.
Okay, so this is exactly why I want DisplayPort. I'm sick and tired of the crappy DVI and VGA cables. You have to worry about bending pins and getting alignment perfect...and it's shitty...and the cable length has to be short...and it's really thick cable with a big end...and it's shitty.
Cumon monitor and video card vendors. Let's move forward with technology. DisplayPort rocks! Smaller connectors means more ports on video cards. Cable is thin. Cable ends are thin, so you don't have to drill big holes in walls/desks to run cable.

Crap, crap, crap. I don't like it. The only thing betther than before is the load times. It will take time to get used to this new look, but realize that it is a step backwards in look and feel. The orange theme was better, for many reasons. Right now, there is too much white space. The old theme had backgrounds that seperated different areas out. You replaced that all with white. No way. This is crap crap crap. Try again guys. I don't mind red and black, but add some more backgrounds so it doesn't feel like a 12 year old kid designed the website.
Besides that, Maximum PC is the best. Gordon and Will, especially, really rock.

Could someone please explain to me why I should provide people with a reason to cut off my fingers? I'm not joking on this one. I don't do biometric stuff for that very reason.

Great article. Great content. Good to hear from the Murph again!
But I have to ask...
What the HELL are you doing with a NETBOOK? Perhaps you got drunk and thought you were buying a really cool laptop...???
I expected so much more from you...
I actually miss hearing you on the podcast. Maybe you can drop by sometime and let us hear your heavily breathing voice again.
Keep up the great work and best of luck with your new career. It's always good to see you drop an article into the mix. Your stuff has always been worth reading.
How To: Connect Your PC to Your Surround-Sound Audio System

Michael,
Your articles are usually my most favorite to read. After reading your article (after I recieved the thinly sliced pieces of dead trees in the mail), I subsequently made the decision to purchase an ATI card. I think it was the better decision because of my goal to integrate my PC with my enternainment center.
Please keep up with the great reviews and articles. I wish you would join the podcast more often. It would be nice to hear about the latest toys you are testing at your home.
